Welcome! It’s always a pleasure to meet new friends. Grab a cup of joe and let’s get to know one another.
Women in my family are typically smart, like rocket scientist smart in the case of my mother. But we are also homemakers. Sometimes in the sense of stay-at-home mother, but more in the literal sense of making a home. We make people feel comfortable, cherished, and involved (no one gets left out). We know how to have fun, whether by enjoying an afternoon with a book, traveling the world, or playing tabletop games. When it comes to hard and fast skills, I also know how to write a business plan, design a marketing campaign, orchestrate set changes, and develop a corporate brand. I tend to be a creative problem solver, and top notch communicator, but often my most useful skill is analysis: identifying where the real problem is. It’s often not quite where you thought it was!
My first degree from the University of Washington (UW) was a BA in English. As I often tell people, studying English teaches people to think, to analyze data and determine what is actually there and how significant it is. Several years later, I followed the English degree with a Masters of Communication in Digital Media, also from UW. During and since those degrees I have working in the medical field, in publishing, and local television among other fields. I’ve spent a lot of time working with start ups and small business owners (including freelancers).
Having settled in Idaho in 2013, I am continuing to help other professionals be successful through graphic design, strategic consultation, editing, and other services.
On the side, I write my own stories, cook, play games, and spend time with friends and family.
Thanks for visiting! I hope to meet you in person soon.
All the best,
